Tonight in my small group we finished up the book "Victory over the Darkness" Neil T Anderson

It's Jesus' promise to you--the promise that you live triumphantly. But what keeps you from really walking in the joy of the Lord? The power of darkness attack us daily. But, as Dr. Neil Anderson shows in Victory over the Darkness, you can have the power to conquer them by knowing who you are in Christ. In Victory over the Darkness you'll learn how to:- Realize the power of your identity in Christ.- Free yourself from the burdens of your past.- Stand against the spiritual forces of this world.- Win the battle for your mind.- Become the spiritual person you want to be.

This group of people have a special place in my heart! These pictures don't do justice to my peeps. I took these a few weeks ago when half of them were not present;)

It amazes me how even though I have read through this book 4 times...it still impacts my life so much every time I study it. This great group of people have been fantastic!! Tonight everyone shared what they had discovered about themselves and their relationship with God. It was amazing the stories people told of how this study has changed their lives! I get so excited every time I see people set free from bondage and false beliefs!! I know God will continue to do powerful things in our lives and continue to grow us in relationship with one another.

I know this won't be the last time Iget to experience someone truly set free on a journey through this book.

The truth is you can not live beyond what you believe!

If you believe the truth it will set you free!
Thanks to my small group for pouring over this book and really asking and sharing the tough questions with one another. You guys are Amazing!!

Carowinds

Saturday, September 13, 2008

Pictures from last weekends trip to carowinds. Mark, the girls, and I went with my Mom and Dad, Amanda, and Toby and Lisa. Can you believe my parents rode every coaster they could find! It was so much fun. The park was virtually empty. We rode roller coasters over and over without even getting off! I think because of Hurricane Gustav, the forecast said lots of rain. It changed at the last minute. No rain just a nice cool breeze and 82. It was a lot of fun.

Summer Games at the Park

Friday, June 27, 2008

A few of our friends came up with a great idea. Each Thursday evening throughout the summer we are planning a game night in the Park. No hassle, no fuss, just show up and hang out. Last night we gathered with new and old friends to talk and play. No organized games this week. Just us sitting under the shelter watching the kids play in the rain! That's right. About 5 minutes after we arrived the rain began. Actually the kids loved it. The daddies kicked a soccer ball around with the little kids. A few brought scooters( great idea). They played on the play ground and swings while we chatted. We were missing a few families who were out of town but really had a fun time. Our goal is to actually play together...Frisbee, soccer, kickball, and walk the trail. This was a great start to what we hope will be a lot of fun this summer.
If you are interested in playing too just post a comment and I will e-mail you the specifics. Come join in the fun. This will be a great opportunity for us to build relationships with new people as well. Bring a friend!
